While it would prefer as much sunlight as possible, it still flourishes in areas with half and even minimal sunlight. The fact that full sunlight is not a requirement works for anyone looking to use the filtering aspect in a closed-off room, such as a bedroom, that might be limited to natural light. 

7. Care as an Indoor Plant 

Starfish Sansevieria is most popular as an indoor potted plant. It is maintained in average-sized containers filled with either a succulent mix or a 50/50 mix of regular potting soil and sand.
